Best Time to Buy UK is an early-stage product-research website and is the controller for information submitted directly to this site. The site currently offers research pages and category interest signup. User accounts and checkout are unavailable. You can choose to register interest in a product category and hear when we begin tracking it.

Information processed

Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical logs such as IP address, browser information, requested page and request time. If you use the interest form, we store your email address, what you asked us to track, the page you signed up from, the time you consented and the versions of the consent wording and privacy notice shown to you. Short-lived one-way fingerprints derived from an email address or network address are used only to limit automated form abuse. The signup table stores no raw network address. If you email us, we process the information you provide so we can respond.

Interest emails

We rely on your consent to use interest-signup details to decide what to track next and to contact you about the category you requested. This information is never sold. You can withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your signup at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Cookies and affiliate links

Advertising cookies are currently disabled. If affiliate links or additional analytics are introduced, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before they are enabled. A retailer or affiliate network may process information after you follow an identified external link under its own privacy policy.

Sharing and retention

Information is shared only with the hosting, database and security providers needed to operate the website, or where required by law. Once connected, a consent-aware email provider may also process signup details. We will configure that provider only after this notice has been reviewed. Signup records are kept while the requested notification remains relevant or until consent is withdrawn. Abuse-prevention records are kept only for a short operational period. Correspondence and operational logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose.

Your rights

UK data-protection law may give you rights over personal information relating to you, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability in applicable circumstances. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
